It almost got to the point I thought maybe it will go away on its own and everything will be fine simply because I did not want to be 19 years old and in debt with medical bills. After being seen at Health Services, Inc. I was told my case would be seen by the . I prayed they would help fund some of my medical expenses and they did just that! I asked my doctor's office what I owed and they told me the would be covering it. So much weight was lifted off my shoulders, I wanted to cry but instead I smiled and nodded. I'm so very thankful for everything Joy to Life has done for me. I will never forget this foundation, ever! I'm 31 and in February I found a lump in my right breast literally 2-3 nights before I had my appoint at the Health Dept for my yearly exam. I found out that mammograms and ultrasounds were not a part of my Medicaid for family planning. I was in shock and now looking for a way to come up with all this money that I just didn't have. Luckily a nurse mentioned Joy to Life. I was on the phone the next day with y'all and was immediately put at ease and told that I would be accepted and just had to get my paperwork. I went back for my 6 month check up today and they said it was fine. I know how lucky I am that that y'all helped bc if not I would still be trying to come up with that money and the worry and stress of not knowing would have been mind torturing. Thank you so much. I would like to give a big thank you to Joy to Life for being there for me and my family in my time of need. When I was diagnosed it was hard to accept but Joy to Life stepped in and helped me with my mammogram and biopsy making it easy for me. So I just would like to thank Joy to Life.
